Why Consult
In response to government legislation, local authorities have produced individual Statements of Community Involvement (SCIs) which clearly outline the level of consultation required. This varies according to the scale of the site. At Engage Planning, we tailor each consultation programme to complement the relevant local authority’s SCI.
Whilst the government is urging developers to consult, we believe that in any event, community consultation can help secure planning approval and build lasting links with local communities.
